Information in English Established in 1997, the Park Avenue Walk-in Legal Clinic is a joint project of the Volunteer Lawyers Network, Park Avenue Youth and Family Services, and Peace and Hope International. The legal clinic
provides free brief legal advice, service and/or referral
to low-income residents of the Twin Cities (Minnesota, USA). Volunteers staff the legal
clinic. Volunteer lawyers provide legal advice and service. Volunteer law
students, paralegals and others provide intake services.
You may be eligible for our services if you:
- Earn under 300% of the federal
poverty income guidelines; and,
- Do not already have a lawyer.
Generally, the volunteer lawyers who staff the legal clinic may be able
to answer questions or make referrals regarding the following legal matters: - Immigration
- Employment
and labor
- Family
(divorce, custody, child support, etc.)
- Discrimination
- Government
benefits and social security
- Housing

Establecida en 1997, La Clínica Legal de Park Avenue es un proyecto patrocinado
por la Volunteer Lawyers Network, la Park Avenue Youth and Family Services, y
Peace and Hope International. La clínica legal brinda gratuitamente consejo, servicio y/o
referencia en el momento en asuntos legales a personas de bajos ingresos económicos en las ciudades gemelas (los “Twin
Cities”). Voluntarios brindan los servicios: abogados dan consejo y servicio
legal; y estudiantes, interpretes y otros voluntarios brindan los servicios de
registro.
Usted es elegible para nuestros servicios si: - Gana menos de 300% de las normas
federales del nivel de pobreza; y,
- NO
tiene ya un/a abogado/a.
Generalmente, los/as abogados/as de
la clínica legal saben responder a preguntas o derivar casos referentes a los
siguientes asuntos legales:

- Discriminación
- Beneficios del gobierno y seguro social
